Kogi Police Corporal Allegedly Shoots Colleague Before Taking His Own Life

A police corporal attached to the Ajaokuta Division in Kogi State allegedly shot a female colleague, Corporal Grace, before taking his own life on Friday night, October 23. The officer, identified as Amos, was reportedly on night-duty guard when he left his post and went to Grace’s quarters at about 9pm. Sources said he fired at her before turning the rifle on himself. The incident was reportedly linked to a strained romantic relationship between the two officers. The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the incident and said an investigation is ongoing.
