1 / 4
A video circulating online shows people destroying kegs of red liquid at a site reportedly linked to the production of counterfeit palm oil in Ogun State. The footage shows a dug pit containing a bright red liquid, with jerrycans and kegs being emptied into it. Some of the containers were cut open and discarded as residents watched. Claims that colouring agents and other chemicals were used to make the oil have not been independently verified. The exact location and any involvement by NAFDAC are also yet to be confirmed.
