Tinubu Urges West African Physicians to Tackle Medical Brain Drain
President Bola Tinubu has urged the West African College of Physicians to develop practical solutions to the growing migration of medical professionals from the region. He said the loss of skilled doctors and other health workers is reducing access to essential care and increasing pressure on the personnel who remain. Tinubu made the call after receiving a fellowship from the College at the State House in Abuja. The College said the honour recognised the administration's health-sector reforms, including investments in primary healthcare, disease prevention and emergency preparedness. Tinubu said his government would continue working to make healthcare more accessible, affordable and efficient for Nigerians.
