Russia Midfielder Batrakov Yet to Speak With Osimhen Ahead of Super Eagles Friendly
Russia midfielder Aleksey Batrakov says he has not spoken with Galatasaray teammate Victor Osimhen ahead of Russia’s proposed friendly against Nigeria. Batrakov said Osimhen has been training separately while recovering from a groin injury. He added that his immediate focus is adapting to life at Galatasaray and contributing to the team. Osimhen’s fitness remains a concern for the Super Eagles. The striker could miss the friendly, as well as Nigeria’s upcoming 2027 AFCON qualifying matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau. Before the injury, Osimhen had scored in four consecutive Turkish Super Lig matches.
