Revealed by the Spirit: Exploring God’s Hidden Wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:6-16)

Paul contrasts human wisdom with the deep wisdom of God that was hidden before time began. The rulers of this age failed to grasp it, even to the point of crucifying the Lord of glory. Through Scripture we learn that the Spirit unveils what no eye has seen or ear has heard. He reveals God’s gifts and teaches us to speak spiritual truths with Spirit-taught words. Those without the Spirit reject these truths as foolishness, while believers discern all things through the Spirit. In Christ we gain the mind of God and share in his eternal wisdom.
