Uba Sani Honours Amokachi, Garba Lawal and Babayaro During Ahmadu Bello Stadium Reconstruction
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has recognised former Super Eagles stars Daniel Amokachi, Garba Lawal and Emmanuel Babayaro for their contributions to Nigerian football and sports development in Kaduna. The former internationals joined the governor during an inspection of the ongoing reconstruction of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium. The project is intended to restore the facility for major national and international sporting events. Amokachi, Lawal and Babayaro were members of Nigeria’s celebrated football generation, with all three featuring in the country’s 1996 Olympic gold-medal campaign. The governor said Kaduna would continue to invest in sports facilities and opportunities for young athletes.
