Idanre on Edge as Aspirant ‘Guilder’ Threatens Violence in APC Primary

Idanre has been gripped by tension after reports that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s preferred candidate, Hon. Aderemi Oyewole, known as “Guilder,” may use intimidation ahead of the House of Assembly primary. A video circulating online shows Oyewole warning that the APC primary will be “difficult and violent,” and advising parents to caution their children in advance. In response, Idanre kingmakers have appealed to the governor to intervene and restore peace. They cited petitions alleging intimidation and unrest that threaten residents, including vulnerable cocoa farmers. Traditional elders have even placed curses on anyone who attempts to sow discord in the community as calls grow for a swift, transparent resolution.
