Tackling Maid and Child Abuse at the Eastern Women’s August Meeting
I have been troubled by reports linking most cases of maid and child abuse to women from the eastern region. It seems that in nearly nine out of ten incidents of children suffering grievous harm, the perpetrator is an eastern woman. I believe this pattern demands honest conversation at this year’s August meeting. Our sisters who mistreat young people in their care should face community consequences. Strong action and clear societal sanctions can deter further abuse and strengthen our collective commitment to protecting children.
