IRGC Launches Missile and Drone Assault on US Gulf Bases After Massive US Airstrikes

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and army struck US military sites in Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain on July 9 in retaliation for Washington’s overnight air campaign. Iranian forces targeted key infrastructure at Al-Arifjan and Ali al-Salem bases in Kuwait, as well as Juffair and Sheikh Isa in Bahrain. They also hit a Patriot air defense battery in Kuwait, an early-warning satellite antenna in Qatar and fuel storage facilities in Bahrain. Tehran warned that further US bases across the region would face similar action if strikes continue. The response follows hundreds of US air attacks on more than 80 locations across Iran earlier this week, which left at least 14 dead and dozens injured.
