Personal Drivers: What Is Your Experience With Employers and Job Boundaries?
A personal driver shared that getting hired was straightforward, but the job became more demanding after he resumed. Because he dealt directly with the employer, every schedule change, vehicle issue, request for leave and misunderstanding had to be handled personally. He also found that driving duties could gradually expand into errands, longer waiting hours and last-minute requests. Each request seemed small, but together they made it difficult to know where the job boundaries stood. For personal drivers, salary is only one part of the job.
