Soldiers Rescue Six FUDMA Students, Driver After Katsina Kidnapping Attack
Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued six Federal University Dutsin-Ma students and a commercial driver after kidnappers attacked their vehicle in Katsina State. The passengers were travelling from Kaduna to Katsina when armed men struck along the Daye–Malumfashi road in Danmusa Local Government Area on the evening of September 21. According to the military, troops responded to a distress call and mounted pressure on the kidnappers, who abandoned the seven captives and fled. The victims were rescued unharmed, screened by security personnel and medically evaluated before being handed over for reunion with their families and school authorities. The incident highlights continuing concerns over the safety of students and commuters on roads across the North-West.
