Zelensky Pledges Response After Deadly Drone Strike on Kryvyi Rih Mall
A Russian drone attack reportedly struck a busy shopping mall in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Ukrainian authorities said at least 16 people were killed and more than 130 injured. Officials said the attack came in two waves, with a second strike hitting about 30 minutes after the first as emergency workers and residents rushed to help victims. Several children were reportedly among those injured. Zelenskyy condemned the attack as a deliberate assault on civilians and called for stronger international action against Russia. Ukrainian officials have again appealed to Western partners for more air-defence systems as attacks on major cities continue.
