Dele Odule Mourns Ogogo: ‘Who Will Yinka and I Banter With Now?’

Veteran Nollywood actor Dele Odule has mourned the death of his longtime friend and colleague, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo. He described their nearly 40-year friendship as a bond that grew from friendship into brotherhood. Odule recalled the close relationship he shared with Ogogo and fellow actor Yinka Quadri. In an emotional tribute, he said Ogogo’s death had left a void and asked who he and Yinka would now banter with. Ogogo died on August 23, 2026, aged 66, after battling stage-four cancer. He was buried the next day in Ilaro, Ogun State, according to Islamic rites, with several Nollywood stars attending to pay their respects.
