Chelle Explains Maduka Okoye’s Absence From Super Eagles Camp

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle says Udinese asked goalkeeper Maduka Okoye to remain with the Serie A club for certain activities ahead of Nigeria’s AFCON 2027 qualifiers. Chelle said Okoye was expected in camp but had yet to arrive. The coach added that he would assess the situation and make a decision before the qualifiers. Okoye is the only player yet to join Nigeria’s 24-man squad in Uyo. The Super Eagles face Madagascar on September 25 before travelling to Bissau to play Guinea-Bissau on September 29.
