Ijebu Ode Club Inaugurates New ‘Old Brigade’ Board of Trustees

In a memorable ceremony on Friday, 10 July 2026, the historic Ijebu Ode Club inaugurated its new Board of Trustees at Tunwase Hall. Under the theme “Old Brigade Takes the Helm,” the event celebrated the crowning of experienced leaders committed to preserving the club’s century-old legacy. High Chief Barrister Adesegun Adebayo was sworn in as Chairman, with Dr. Tunji Dawodu—pioneer Provost of Ogun State College of Health Technology—as Secretary. The board also features Senator Olamilekan Mustapha, Engr. Kola Ogunyemi, Alhaji Fatai Osiyemi, Otunba Adebayo Ogunkelu, Alhaja Olayinka Ajigboteso, Otunba Barrister Oloruntoba Mamora, Dr. Ogunlade, and other distinguished members. Members and guests witnessed a solemn oath ceremony that symbolised the transfer of stewardship and a pledge to uphold the club’s traditions and values. Warm applause and respectful silence marked each moment. After the formalities, Tunwase Hall came alive with music, conversation and fellowship. The evening underscored the club’s enduring spirit, unity and readiness to embrace a new chapter of excellence.
