In an effort to create an atmosphere where God can dwell and to promote the Kingdom of God through it's quality gospel music on offering, WWE Concert Live Recording concert is designed to give people the energy they have been yearning for in the gospel genre of music.

According to the Stargate Records Label CEO, Austine Okafor, he said his record label has been able to groom great artistes in the gospel music world and this concert would bring the best of the best in that field.

"The art of putting up top quality gospel events has always been our vision in building The WWE brand as it has really given us an edge in the industry with its unique concept," he explained.

The 2021 Unity & Peace Ambassador Award has come and gone but not without honouring some eminent Nigerians in recognition of their contributions to the unity and peace of the country.

Organiser of the Unity & Peace Ambassador Award 2021 and TORKWASE U BEM (Queen of Peace) Doris Doosuur Uva said the aim is to appreciate those who have worked tirelessly to entrench peace in the country through their own endeavours. 

She further noted that this will spur others to contribute their quota in making Nigeria and Africa a peaceful Continent. 

Top in the list of those honoured at the event which took place at Nicon Luxury Hotel Abuja, recently are Interpol Systems Consultant in Nigeria and governorship aspirant in Abia, Sir Chikwe Udensi, former Governor of Imo state and the Senator Representing Imo West, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha, Wife of Benue State Governor, Dr. Mrs. Eunice Ortom, and Nollywood actress, Monalisa Chinda, the Founder TY Danjuma Foundation, Gen. The Chairman Octo5 Homes, Jide Odusolu, along with the Chancellor Espam Formation University, Cotonou, HRH Dr. Halimat Adenike Tejuoso and Ambassador of State of Palestine in Nigeria, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed N.A Elkachach have made the list of 20 Deserving Peace Icons identified for promoting peace and unity in the African Continent. 

They have also been honoured with Peace Ambassador Award. 

The award ceremony organised by Distinguished Peace Medal Agency recently took place at Sheraton Hotels Abuja. 

The organisation says all awardees were painstakingly selected through a rigorous but open and transparent process for the honour. 

The event was packaged by Goodwill Ambassador Events Agency.

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Rev John Joseph Hayab has called on Nigerians to speak out against atrocities being meted on them, insisting they must hold the government accountable. 

Hayab stated this during the 2021 award/dinner organised by the youth wing of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), an even a senior journalist with LEADERSHIP Newspaper, Sunday Isuwa won the outstanding journalist of the year award. 

The CAN chairman who also received an award as the Outstanding Voice of the Year, said some of them won't have been speaking but added that the situation in their state made them to do so. 

"Wether you clap for me or not, you will hear my voice. It is time for us to close the rank and unite. Move away from people who divide us. The challenges in the state force us to do what we are doing," Hayab said adding that SOKAPU is not a religious organisation. 

"SOKAPU is not a religious organisation but the place where SOKAPU is coming from has predominantly one region and people who are of different faith are loved and cherished," Hayab said while commending the youth leaders of SOKAPU for showing immense unity.

"When I saw Sabastine Luka, Nasiru Jagaba and John Isaac Sirjay (SOKAPU youth leader) siting in the same table, I was happy because there is atmosphere of unity. But we have not totally gotten out of these divisiveness because I can feel a little of it even in this hall," Hayab, who is also the country representative of the Global Peace Foundation, added. 

Speaking, the Senator who represented Kaduna Central at the red chamber from 2015 - 2019, Shehu Sani, said Nigerians must hold the government to accountable.

"The leadership of the state is decisive," Sani said adding that they most continue to speak truth to power.

"SOKAPU should continue to stand on the principle at which it was created.
SOKAPU should ensure the people get good leadership. A state that was ordained to be multicultural and multi-religious have been divided.

"The reasons for our nomination I believed was on principle and we will continue to speak truth to power," Sani, who was also honoured by SOKAPU said. 

The receiver of the Outstanding Journalist of the year award, Sunday Isuwa, said he was elated to be honoured by his immidiate community.

According to Isuwa, the award will spur him to do more in reporting on the plight of the people especially the rural dwellers. 

"Whenever I passed through communities that had no road neither bridge before but now have them as a result of our reporting, I am always supper excited. I am happy because my work as a journalist is helping in advancing good governance and we will continue to do more for the betterment of our society," Isuwa said.

Gov. Abiodun commissions ROMO's multi-million naira secretariat in Ogun 

Riders and Owners of Motorcycle Organization (ROMO) Ogun State chapter on Friday commissioned its multi-million naira secretariat in Abeokuta.

The secretariat housing a conference hall, offices, security post was commissioned by Gov. Dapo Abiodun.

The governor was represented at the event by the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo.

While speaking, ROMO Chairman, Alhaji Rasaq Sotayo assured members of the union better welfare.

Sotayo, who is popularly known as Sholebo said his administration is focused on turning the fortunes of members of the union around for good by executing projects that would contribute to the socio-economic development of the State.

Sotayo revealed that the union is currently building a multimillion naira orthopedic hospital, saying the hospital when completed will take care of the treatment of members at subsidized rates.

Speaking on the secretariat, Sotayo said, the new building would help boost the social-economic development of the State as it serves as a revenue generating building.

He added that apart from contributing to the revenue purse of the State it would also empower youths in the State which will stream down to members of the public.

The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Olakunle Oluomo while commissioning the building, said the government must continue to engage members of the various transport unions to solve the challenges of insecurity in the State.

Oluomo stressed that the government must partner with security agents and the leadership of transport unions to curb armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism, and other criminal activities in the State.

According to him, continuous engagement of transport unions would help curb the excesses of their members thereby engendering peace in the State.

Oluomo stated that, "We will continue to engage them, when people have stayed at home for a long time they result to riding motorbikes, a lot of things will be coming up but what we are trying to do through this type of or organisation."

"We will keep engaging them and enlighten them and encourage them to do the thing the best way they are supposed to do it and that is why I will always give to this present government for giving them the enabling environment to thrive in the transport business".

Built on the unprecedented success of its first edition, the Akwa-Ocha fashion show has again made a second debut. 

The second edition which took place on 4th December, 2021 at Sweet Spirit Hotel, Okpanam Road, Asaba in Delta State gathered eminent sons and daughters of Anioma nation, clothed with spectacular designs that were made strictly from Akwa-Ocha. 

The Akwa-Ocha Fashion Show is basically a programme aimed at rebranding, and preserving the cultural heritage of the people of Anioma by fostering creativity through the use of Akwaocha attire.

Akwa-ocha Fashion Show Makes Second Debut

A fast growing and impact-making non governmental organization, known as Faith Aigbe Foundation had few days ago hosted a Women and Youth Empowerment Program organised for Women and Youths who are vulnerable and in need. The program was held on the 18th to 20th of November 2021 at the Restoration Prayer City and Skill Acquisition Center, behind Sahara Fynestone Estate Gwarinpa, Abuja.

...As Obot Akara Council Boss commissions three-bedroom bungalow for a widower. 

Chief John Otu, a widower who hails from Usaka Annang community in Obot Akara L.G has received keys to a fully furnished three bedroom bungalow from the executive chairman of Obot Akara Local Government, lady Agnes Udoewenwen, built and furnished under the auspices of Heal the world God's power charity foundation, headed by Rev. Dr Eunice Otuekong.

Dr. Eunice Otuekong who is a community developer, a philanthropist, a medical doctor, and the CEO of HEAL THE WORLD GOD'S POWER CHARITY FOUNDATION, across the European countries and in Nigeria, hails from Usaka Annang community in Obot Akara Local Government Area.

On her path, Dr Eunice expressed appreciation virtually on the council Boss and the entire community for honoring her and partnering with Heal the World God's Power Charity Foundation. She disclosed that the paramount mission of the foundation is to advocate against the abuse of children and elders in the society, also engage in children, Youths, and women empowerment programs and capacity building. 

She also thanked God for keeping her alive and granting her the grace to show appreciation whilst she still lives.

Commissioning the bungalow yesterday, Lady Agnes Udoewenwen commended the donor of the building, Dr Eunice, for the kind gesture and also charged other well placed and privileged citizens to emulate her. Lady Agnes prayed that God should replenish her source, and also grant peace, health and divine preservation for the beneficiary too.

She promised to support and partner with the foundation on more empowerment programs in the Local Government Area and across.

Chief John Otu on a press interview thanked God Almighty for using Dr Eunice to provide shelter for him and the family in what he described as being in a dream, which however is pleasant reality. He lauded Dr Eunice for the shelter and for coming to His aid.

High points of the MAKE THEM SMILE empowerment program also includes :

✴️ Donation of an electronic powered wheelchair worth more than a million naira to Chief John Otu to help facilitate his movement for livelihood.

✴️ Donation of medium-size bags of rice to the elderly women across the community.

✴️ Donation of business support funds to the youths and women of the community.

INDIGENOUS AWARD NIGERIA 2021 HOLDS 5TH EDITION, HONOURS PERSONS FROM SEVERAL SECTORS

The event of the recently held 5th Indigenous Award Nigeria was indeed one of the most colourful, well attended and prestigious award occasion in 2021, recording the distinguished presence and honour of reputable personalities and institutions from across Nigeria. The award ceremony was held on the 15th of December 2021 at Sheraton Hotels and Towers Abuja.

According to reports, the 5th edition of Indigenous Award Nigeria 2021 had recognised and decorated the likes of state governors, senators, members of the house of representative, and other executives in the public and private sectors, although several VIPs where duely represented. Speaking during IAN2021 in Abuja, the Executive Organiser Amb. Nwosu Clinton Augustine expressed impressive and overwhelming gestures at the outcome of the ceremony.

Africa Multicultural World Foundation Feeds Over 100 Almajaris, Gives Education Materials In Abia 

A non-governmental organisation, AFrica Multicultural World Foundation as part of its efforts to bring succour to the less privileged in the country has reached out to over 100 Almajaris in Kaduna State with food and clothings. 

This is even as the Foundation touched the lives of Abia children with over 400 educational materials, ranging from customized books, pens and other writing materials to boost their participation in education. 

While in Abia, the social workers led by Miss Nigeria America Nation 2021/22, Queen Olivia Martha also distributed food ,snacks and drinks to about 300 children. 

According to AFrica Multicultural World Foundation, the outreach which was sponsored by Amb. Dr. Krystal Okeke . This event was held in St Norbert Catholic Church, Aba Abia State is in line with the realization of its mandate to put smile on the faces of less privileged children. 

Queen Olivia Martha noted that children have been most affected in the country's growing poverty index which according to her has led to acute malnutrition among the children. 

She said efforts have been concluded to expand the annual outreach programme to accommodate more beneficiaries from across all the geopolitical zones of the country. 

While in Kaduna, the team led by Ibrahim Yusuf were warmly received by the Almajaris and their leaders. They expressed gratitude to the AFrica Multicultural World Foundation team for remembering them in their humanitarian outreach. 

Earlier, a sister Foundation, America Nation Multicultural World Foundation had taken their humanitarian outreach to Las Vegas in the United States where about 100 destitute were reached with food and clothes for the winter and summer.

At Las Vegas underprivileged outreach, the team was led by Amb Dr Krystal Okeke’Chanchangi who pledged that the the group will continue in its modest efforts to live to its mandate globally, adding that more number of persons will benefit from the scheme in 2022.

High Chief Dr Sir Darlington Nwabunike  Bags Another Award

The housemaid of late Madam Maria Igbinedion has recounted how she committed the heinous crime, all in a bid to steal some jewelry.
25-year-old Dominion Okoro, who was recently arrested in Calabar, Cross Rivers state, has now revealed how she killed the 85-year-old woman before carting away with her jewelry on December 2 at her residence in GRA Benin city.
Okoro who is currently being detained at the Edo state police command said
“I killed Mama (Madam Maria Igbinedion) to carry her money. She did not offend me. While she was sleeping on her bed, around 12:01 a.m. on December 2, 2021, I used a stool to hit her on the head and she was shouting for help, but only the gateman was around and he did not hear the shout. Mama later died.

The Commissioner of Police in Edo state, Phillip Ogbadu, revealed that it took time, efforts and money to arrest Dominion, noting that no fewer than 20 persons were first arrested before Dominion was arrested and she confessed to committing the crime.
