Rangers coach Derek McInnes has urged Super Eagles defender Emmanuel Fernandez to improve his focus, consistency and work rate after a difficult start to the 2026–27 season. Fernandez, who was Rangers’ Player of the Season and made the PFA Team of the Season in the previous campaign, has come under pressure following costly mistakes against Jagiellonia Białystok and St. Mirren, including a penalty conceded. McInnes said players must work hard to return to their best level.
