I once heard that parents should not give their children biblical names without teaching them biblical values. The joke came after someone said a man named Moses had robbed him. Many parents choose names to honour God, but a good name does not automatically shape a person’s character. We often see people whose actions seem to contradict the meaning or biblical example behind their names: Peace may be violent, Love may hate, and Grace may bring disgrace. The real challenge is to live in a way that reflects the good meaning of our names.
