Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage says Jean-Philippe Mateta is expected to remain at the club despite his ongoing contract dispute. Mateta challenged the validity of a one-year extension activated in 2024, but both a Premier League tribunal and FIFA ruled that he remains under contract until June 2027. Sage said the striker remains happy, committed in training and focused on football. Mateta has also attracted interest from Tottenham and Aston Villa after a proposed move to AC Milan collapsed over a medical concern.
