Your Smartphone Can Be More Than Entertainment: Build a Skill With It

If my smartphone were taken away today, I would lose more than calls and social media. For many of us, it has become a source of entertainment, information and connection. But it can also be a tool for learning, marketing, business and income. Every day, many Nigerians watch people sell products, edit videos, freelance or create content online. The real question is whether we are using some of that time to build useful skills ourselves. Even one focused hour a day adds up to about 30 hours a month and 365 hours in a year. You can use your phone to learn video editing, copywriting, digital marketing, online sales, content creation or affiliate marketing. The key is to develop a skill that solves a problem people are willing to pay for. Use your phone to practise, communicate with customers, build an audience and find opportunities. Be careful of schemes that promise huge returns without real work. Sustainable online income usually comes from creating value and improving your skills consistently. If you could use your smartphone to build an income stream, what would you like to learn first?
