Lionel Messi Reaches Preliminary Deal to Buy Spanish Club Eldense
Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement to buy Spanish second-tier club Eldense. The proposed deal still requires due diligence and approval from Spain’s National Sports Council. Eldense are owned by Colombian investment group Grupo TH, which also has clubs in Colombia and Switzerland. If the purchase is completed, it would be Messi’s second club investment in Spain. Messi acquired semi-professional side Cornella in April 2026. Eldense would be his first investment in a professional Spanish club.
