My 46th Birthday Prayer: My Daughter Is Recovering After a Hit-and-Run Accident
Today is my 46th birthday, but it has been a difficult week for my family. My 17-year-old daughter was knocked down by a speeding motorcycle rider while returning from school on Monday. The rider fled the scene. She lost a lot of blood and has been receiving treatment in the hospital. I have been struggling to pay for blood, drugs and other medical bills with my limited savings. I am grateful to a colleague at the hotel where I work as a security officer, who contributed money towards the expenses. She regained consciousness yesterday and is responding to treatment, which has given me hope. As a single father, this has been overwhelming, especially as I do not feel able to approach my estranged brother for help. Please keep my daughter in your prayers for a full recovery. I also pray for the strength and support to settle her hospital bill when she is ready to be discharged.
