20 Abducted Prospective Corps Members Regain Freedom in Imo
Twenty prospective NYSC corps members abducted in Imo State have regained their freedom. They were travelling from Ibadan to orientation camps in Abia and Akwa Ibom states when they were abducted last Thursday. Their captors reportedly demanded ₦50 million for each victim before reducing the demand to ₦5 million. The military, DSS, police and other security agencies reportedly secured the release of the 20 corps members and one other hostage. The victims are receiving medical attention at the DSS hospital in Owerri.
