AANI Celebrates Sultan of Sokoto Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar at 70
The Alumni Association of the National Institute has congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, on his 70th birthday. The association described the Sultan, who chairs its Heritage Council, as a statesman and bridge-builder whose leadership has promoted peace, national unity, interfaith dialogue and religious tolerance. AANI also highlighted his career in the Nigerian Army, where he rose to the rank of Brigadier General, and his service since becoming the 20th Sultan of Sokoto in 2006. The association prayed for his continued health, wisdom and service to Nigeria.
