Enugu Air Secures AOC in Record Time, Eyes Regional Flights by Year-End
Enugu Air has received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority in just five months and three weeks. This achievement far outpaces the industry norm of 15 to 24 months and marks a historic milestone for the state-owned carrier. With a full fleet of six aircraft at launch, the airline aims to begin regional operations before the end of the year. Governor Peter Mbah’s vision is to position Enugu as a hub for commerce, logistics, and aviation across West and Central Africa, and Enugu Air is poised to drive that ambition forward.
