Lagos Man Arraigned Over Alleged Threat to Share Ex-Girlfriend’s Intimate Video

A 23-year-old man has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly recording an intimate video of his former girlfriend without her consent and threatening to share it online. The prosecution alleged that he secretly recorded the video during a call in December 2025 at Alapere, Lagos. He was charged with unlawful recording of intimate content and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of ₦500,000 with two sureties. The case was adjourned until September 15 for hearing.
