Lagos State Launches LSSTF-CACCOV Youth Campaign to Combat Crime, Cultism & Drug Abuse
The Lagos State Security Trust Fund is rolling out a new statewide advocacy drive through its LSSTF Campaign Against Crime, Cultism and Other Vices (LSSTF-CACCOV). Starting in Agege LGA, the programme will reach all 57 LGAs and LCDAs across the state. This preventive effort complements law enforcement by addressing social drivers of crime. It promotes positive values, discourages drug use and cultism, and equips young people to become community peace ambassadors. Key partners include the Nigeria Police, NDLEA, the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, local councils, traditional rulers, faith groups and schools. Together, they will lead sensitisation, volunteer mobilisation and stakeholder engagement to build safer communities. Aligned with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s youth development agenda, this campaign leverages skills training, entrepreneurship support and civic engagement programmes to position young people as active partners in sustainable security.
