X Replaces Revenue Sharing With New Original Content Rewards Programme

X has ended new enrolments for its Revenue Sharing programme and introduced the Original Content Rewards Programme for eligible creators. The new system will pay creators every two weeks based on qualified impressions from Premium users who view original posts on the Home Timeline. Repeated views, promoted traffic, artificial engagement and fraudulent views will not count. Existing Revenue Sharing participants will continue to earn until September 7, 2026, with final payments scheduled through September 11. From September 8, eligible existing participants can apply for the new programme. Applicants must be at least 18, live in a supported country, subscribe to X Premium, Premium+ or Premium Business, have at least 500 verified followers and record 500,000 verified-user Home Timeline impressions in the previous 90 days. Original threads, videos, reporting, analysis, memes and creative commentary may qualify, while copied, automated or misleading content will be excluded.
