Troops Rescue Two Kidnap Victims in Separate Plateau Operations
Troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation Enduring Peace, have rescued two people abducted in separate operations in Bassa and Kanam Local Government Areas of Plateau State. In Bassa, troops acted on intelligence about an alleged plan to kidnap Ndubuisi Onuigbo and carried out a search-and-rescue operation. In Kanam, troops on patrol in Kukawa Community reportedly pursued suspected terrorists, who abandoned another victim, Sambo Abdullahi. The task force said both victims were debriefed and reunited with their families. The commander, Maj.-Gen. Maxwell Dangana, praised the troops and pledged continued operations against criminal groups in the state.
