Super Falcons Midfielder Deborah Abiodun Signs New Washington Spirit Deal Until 2028

Super Falcons midfielder Deborah Abiodun has signed a new two-year contract with Washington Spirit, keeping her at the National Women’s Soccer League club until 2028. The agreement includes an option for a further year. The 22-year-old joined the American club from Pittsburgh Panthers in January 2025 and later spent time on loan at Dallas Trinity FC before Washington Spirit recalled her in August 2026. Abiodun has made 21 appearances for the club, registering one goal and one assist. She is currently recovering from an injury sustained while on club duty.
