Seriake Dickson: Aisha Yesufu Turned Down House of Reps Ticket, Says She’s 'Too Big' for It

National Leader of the National Democratic Congress, Seriake Dickson, revealed at a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja that he and the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, offered Aisha Yesufu a House of Representatives ticket. He said Yesufu declined, claiming she was “too big” for the position that many candidates fight to secure. This comes amid tensions in the party after Yesufu criticized the conduct of its FCT senatorial primary, accusing leadership of manipulating the process. Dickson defended the party’s decisions and insisted they had tried to accommodate her ambitions elsewhere.
