Nasri: France and England Lack a Clear Football Identity

Former France international Samir Nasri believes France and England have talented attacking players but lack a consistent playing identity. Speaking on Canal+ Foot, Nasri said both teams do not have enough midfielders who can control matches and connect play to their forwards. He contrasted them with Spain, whose possession-based approach he says remains recognisable despite changes in players or coaches. Nasri also said he would like to see a clearer style of play if Zinedine Zidane eventually takes charge of France. He questioned whether France’s current midfield options can provide the balance needed for their attacking stars.
