Company Sues FCMB for ₦5 Billion Over Alleged Unauthorised Bank Statement Disclosure

First Tirad Global Resources Ltd and its majority shareholder have sued First City Monument Bank (FCMB) at the FCT High Court in Abuja. The claimants allege that the bank released the company’s account statement to an unauthorised third party, in breach of its duty to protect customer confidentiality. The suit, marked FCT/HC/NY/255/2026, seeks ₦5 billion in damages. The claimants say the alleged disclosure exposed sensitive financial, commercial and personal information.
