Osun Police Urge Youths to Reject Political Violence and Online Manipulation

The Osun State Police Command has launched a youth-focused campaign against political violence, electoral thuggery and harmful online activities. The campaign, tagged “My Future Is Greater Than Political and Digital Thuggery,” was unveiled in Osogbo during the 2026 International Youth Day commemoration. Police officials said it is part of the National Youth Leadership and Security Initiative. The command urged young people not to trade their future for temporary payments or allow politicians to exploit them for violence. It also warned against hate speech, digital attacks and the spread of false information online. Officials identified education, responsible citizenship, innovation, security and digital responsibility as key tools for helping young Nigerians resist manipulation and contribute to a peaceful country.
