SMEDAN BRYNE Programme to Support 100,000 Young Entrepreneurs Yearly

SMEDAN has introduced the Building Resilient Young Nigerian Entrepreneurs (BRYNE) programme to support more than 100,000 young Nigerians each year with business training, mentorship, incubation, market access and funding opportunities. The programme is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, student founders, startups and existing small-business owners. Support will vary by business stage and may include business formalisation, investment and export guidance, digital learning, advisory services and access to customers. SMEDAN says 600 entrepreneurs will join its annual incubation programme, with focus areas including fashion, woodwork and agriculture. Participating tertiary institutions may support up to 3,000 student entrepreneurs, while weekly startup hackathons will engage about 5,000 young people. Fifty-two winners are expected to receive ₦250,000 each in seed funding. Application dates, eligibility criteria and registration procedures have not yet been announced. Interested applicants should rely only on verified SMEDAN communications and avoid anyone requesting payment in exchange for selection.
