Oumarou Sawadogo Replaces Ibrahim Gusau as WAFU Zone B President
Ibrahim Musa Gusau has been replaced as president of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B, days after stepping down as president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Oumarou Sawadogo, president of the Burkina Faso Football Federation, has been appointed to lead the regional body. Gusau had held the NFF and WAFU Zone B positions simultaneously. Sawadogo will oversee WAFU Zone B’s regional competitions and football-development programmes. With the change, Nigeria no longer holds the leadership position in the sub-regional football body.
