Violence and Intimidation at Abuja ADC Primary: My First-Hand Account
I attended the ADC primary election in Abuja expecting a peaceful democratic exercise. Instead, I faced aggression and threats from individuals alleged to be loyalists of Senator Ireti. This attack overshadowed the entire process and raises serious concerns about the integrity of internal party democracy. No aspirant or supporter should encounter harassment or violence while exercising their political rights. If intimidation becomes a tool of participation, our electoral system and democratic institutions in the FCT and Nigeria at large are in jeopardy.
