Nigerian Winger David Akintola Leaves Hull City for Omonia Return
Nigerian winger David Akintola has left Hull City after his contract was mutually terminated, allowing him to join Cypriot club Omonia FC. The 30-year-old returns to Omonia for a second spell. He made seven appearances and scored twice during his first stint in 2020, which was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Akintola joined Hull City from Çaykur Rizespor in August 2025. He played 21 matches in the 2025/26 season, recording one goal and two assists, while also featuring in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
