Jide Kosoko Defends Tinubu, Cites Student Loans and Monthly Allowances
Veteran actor Jide Kosoko says Nigeria’s situation is not as bad as many people portray it. He argued that Nigerians experience the economy differently and that some are benefiting from government support programmes. Speaking on a podcast, Kosoko pointed to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund as an example. He said eligible students can have their school fees covered and receive monthly upkeep allowances of about ₦20,000. He said the scheme could reduce the financial pressure on parents and urged beneficiaries to publicly share their experiences so Nigerians can assess its impact.
