Anambra Police Arrest Two in Obosi Drug Raid, Recover ₦6.2m Worth of Suspected Drugs
Police in Anambra State have arrested two suspected drug dealers during a raid on a suspected criminal hideout in Obosi, Idemili North LGA. The command said officers of the Rapid Response Squad, acting on intelligence, recovered substances suspected to be cannabis, methamphetamine and other illicit drugs with an estimated street value of ₦6.2 million. They also recovered ₦598,400 in cash. Police identified the suspects as 47-year-old Nzube Onyedikachukwu and 20-year-old Ugochukwu Azia. Some other suspects reportedly fled during the operation. Investigators are tracing the source and distribution network of the drugs and examining whether the location was used as a meeting point for criminal activities.
