Rafael Leão Takes Portugal’s No. 7 Shirt for Nations League Matches

Rafael Leão has been assigned Portugal’s No. 7 jersey for the upcoming Nations League matches against Denmark and Norway after Cristiano Ronaldo left the national team camp. Leão, who usually wears No. 17, was listed as No. 7 in UEFA’s official squad list. New call-up Fábio Silva will wear No. 17 instead. The switch follows UEFA regulations requiring the 23-player matchday squad to use consecutive shirt numbers from 1 to 23 without gaps. Ronaldo was an unused substitute in Portugal’s 2-1 win over Norway before leaving camp.
