Atune Backs Bendel Insurance to Recover After 2-1 Loss to Ranchers Bees

Bendel Insurance assistant coach Jolomi Atune says the team will recover from Saturday’s 2-1 Nigeria Premier Football League defeat to Ranchers Bees in Kano. After a goalless first half, Chiedozie Jude Okorie put Ranchers Bees ahead in the 49th minute. Lekan Gabriel equalised for Bendel Insurance in the 66th minute, but Mohammed Rabiu Zulkifilu scored the winner 11 minutes from time. It was his fifth goal of the season. Atune attributed the goals conceded to lapses in concentration but said the Benin Arsenals remain a work in progress. Bendel Insurance will host Ikorodu City in Benin City in their next league match.
