Lagos Makes LASRRA Number Mandatory for School Admissions From 2026/2027

The Lagos State Government says every learner seeking admission into public or private schools must have a valid LASRRA registration number from the 2026/2027 academic session. Schools are expected to obtain and record each student’s LASRRA number from September 14, 2026. The directive will be implemented through the Office of Education Quality Assurance. The government says the policy will create a reliable database of learners, improve school record-keeping, strengthen student verification and support education planning. Schools must also inform parents and guardians about the new requirement.
