Turkish Ex-Ref Questions Osimhen’s Man-of-the-Match Award After Galatasaray Win

Former Turkish referee Ahmet Çakar has disputed Victor Osimhen’s Man-of-the-Match award after Galatasaray’s 4-2 Champions League win over Lille. Osimhen scored Galatasaray’s fourth goal at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, but Çakar said Barış Alper Yılmaz, Batrakov and Yunus Akgün had stronger claims for the individual honour. He added that the Nigerian striker did not play badly. Osimhen has made a strong start to the season, recording seven goals and three assists in eight appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray.
