Did Peter Obi’s Anambra Administration Leave Unpaid Debts?
I have followed the recent debate between Governor Chukwuma Soludo and Peter Obi over Anambra State’s debt records. The viral memes and videos have made the issue entertaining, but the claims being made are serious. Peter Obi previously challenged anyone to show that his administration left debts, saying he would stop campaigning if the claim was proven. Since he made that challenge, I do not think it is wrong for the Anambra State Government to present records it believes contradict him. Rather than trading insults, both supporters and critics should focus on verifiable evidence. Did Peter Obi leave outstanding debts as governor, and do the documents presented by the state government prove it?
