NEMA, Red Cross Train Kaduna Transport Workers on Ebola Prevention
NEMA and the Nigerian Red Cross Society have trained drivers and railway workers in Kaduna on Ebola prevention, symptom recognition and reporting suspected cases. The sensitisation was held at Television Motor Park and Rigasa Train Station, two major routes for travellers between Abuja and Kaduna. Officials urged transport operators to remain calm, follow verified health guidance and keep accurate passenger manifests to support contact tracing if needed. Participants were advised to promptly report travellers with symptoms such as high fever, headache, body pain, vomiting, diarrhoea or unexplained bleeding. The campaign also sought to counter misinformation and improve preparedness among frontline transport workers.
