Charlton Manager Hails Super Eagles Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo After Loan Move
Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones has praised Nigeria goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo after the 24-year-old joined the club on a season-long loan from Wrexham. Jones described Okonkwo as an excellent shot-stopper, recalling two important saves he made against Charlton during Wrexham’s matches last season. He said the goalkeeper also showed a strong desire to join the Addicks. Okonkwo began his senior career at Arsenal and has also played for Crewe Alexandra, Sturm Graz and Wrexham. He has earned two caps for Nigeria and made his Super Eagles debut during the Unity Cup this summer.
