Gunmen Storm Fulani Settlement in Edu LGA, Kill Resident and Kidnap Several

Heavily armed suspects on Monday evening attacked a Fulani settlement in Sodo, Lafiagi area of Edu Local Government, Kwara State. Witnesses say the gunmen rode in on motorcycles, shot one resident dead and abducted several others before fleeing. Villagers described scenes of panic as the invaders operated for several minutes unhindered. One resident said the community was thrown into fear as gunshots rang out and people fled their homes. A video obtained by sources shows armed men on motorcycles moving through the settlement. Locals worry this latest raid marks a worsening security crisis in parts of Kwara North, where repeated kidnappings and attacks have forced many to abandon their homes. The Kwara State Police Command has yet to comment on the incident.
