A celebrity blog disclosed being asked by people close to late actor Alex Ekubo to publish unverified claims about his wife and relatives. After reviewing the evidence, the blogger refused to share the allegations, saying conscience and respect for a grieving family mattered more than sensational headlines. Nollywood stars took to social media to applaud this restraint. Ini Edo saluted the decision with a flower emoji while Bimbo Ademoye called the blogger her “mamabear.” Queen Mercy Atang, Blessing Obasi, Dayo Amusa and others also voiced support. Alex Ekubo died at 40 on May 11 after a brave fight with metastatic kidney cancer. He was laid to rest on June 18 in a ceremony attended by many colleagues.
