Lando Norris Takes First 2026 Win at Hungarian Grand Prix
Lando Norris claimed his first win of the 2026 Formula 1 season at the Hungarian Grand Prix after turning pole position into victory at the Hungaroring. Norris recovered after teammate Oscar Piastri took the early lead. A strategic call, followed by Piastri’s contact with Carlos Sainz and later gearbox failure, opened the door for the McLaren driver to take control. Max Verstappen finished second for Red Bull, while Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli held on for third. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton completed the top five.
